My Jewelry collections currently focus on Human Connections. I find myself designing these pieces to capture "Moments" that capture the feeling that one gets in these instances.
Through the wonders of 3d Printing and the amazing people at Shapeways, these designs can be brought to life and customized for each order. Although the photos show the phrase "I Love U," it can be customized with a name, short phrase or date.
An Eco-Friendly Resin is used to suspend the delicate string into a permanent form. These modern pendant lamps play off the 70's style string ball lights and the more recently popular Moooi Lights. I wanted to create more complex forms with hard edges that seemingly float in air. Shapes and sizes vary with custom orders as an option.
I Love Beer. I also brew my own Beer. I wanted a Homebrew keychain bottle opener for myself and the idea was born. I have a wide variety of words/places available and custom versions are always welcome. Follow me on Social Media to see the newest ones as they come out.
The Bottle Openers are all 3d Printed in Steel and have various finish coatings. They are incredibly strong and lightweight. They fit perfect on your keychain, but would be great hanging by the fridge also.
The flat part on top lets you customize a phrase or you can put your own name. Some Homebrewers like to put the name of their personal brewery on the top. Click the link to check it out.
Personal Design Projects
These are some of the other random projects that I've done over the last few years. If you have any questions about them, just ask.
I decided to turn a picture of my wife into the inspiration for my pumpkin. It turned out pretty well....
Couples Acrylic Painting
I created this for my wife for Christmas after we got engaged. It's roughly 24" x 36"
This was a self portrait I did back in 2011, for the University of Oregon. Go Ducks!
Mobile Flower Shop
While living in Portland, I turned a friend's old rickety trailer into a functional flower shop that could be moved around when needed. The shelving all came apart and fit inside the trailer for relocation.
Lego Batman and Red Solo Cup Costume
For Halloween one year, I decided to make a Lego Batman Costume and my wife wanted to be a giant Red Solo cup. This is how they turned out.
I had some random wood left over from other projects and decided to throw something together. Plus I wanted to try to paint something in this style...
Father and Sons, Alaska Trip
I made these one year as Christmas presents to help remember an amazing trip to Alaska. If anyone ever has the chance to go there, Take it! Words and Pictures can't even begin to describe how beautiful a place it is.
Baby Nursery Art
My wife was obsessed with elephants while she was pregnant with our daughter. I created this to hang above the crib.
I created a Giant Jenga set from 2x4's for a 4th of July party. It was also drinking Jenga, so we had random acts written on select blocks also.
Publications and Features
Some different parts of my work have been featured on different websites and newsletters. It has been with companies such as Habitat for Humanity, Shapeways, and Instructables. A quick description and links are below.

Shapeways is just an awesome company that has really opened up all new design possibilities to the masses with 3d printing. A lot of my current work on here is 3d printed. I've designed some Bottle Openers and Jewelry that I think are pretty cool. The great people at Shapeways think so too.
I was recently featured in the "Designer Spotlight" (<<Click there for the link) and had my "Love Collection" of Rings featured as a Valentine's Day item in the Newsletter. I was also featured on their Twitter, and Instagram feeds numerous times and am always stoked to see my work on there.
Back when I lived in Portland, Oregon a few years ago I wanted to learn more about building and help out people at the same time. I started working with Habitat for Humanity and volunteer at least once a week to help build homes. I not only learned a lot, but got to pass on what I learned to the other volunteers and homeowners. I was featured in the "Volunteer Spotlight." I couldn't find the link anymore, but a screenshot is on the right. I highly recommend that anyone looking to volunteer does so with Habitat for Humanity. It's a great organization and they most likely have a local branch. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO.
Ever wanted to know how to make something? This site is awesome for all sorts of things, just try and search. I plan to put up many more "Instructables" in the near future, but the two I did last year got featured and the one I did about my Slip n' Slide made it in as a Finalist in the "Summer Fun" Contest. Click below to check them out and follow me on there or social media to see when I post new ones.
